Matthew a Jewish tax collector, left his post in the middle of his shift to follow a man who called upon him. Being a person who kept detailed accounts, logs and records, he took his diaries along with him on his journeys with Jesus. With every record written down and compared to the books of the Old Testament studied at that time, the Book of Matthew began falling into place.
