Serve Day 2017
It’s Serve Day again and we are doing things even bigger this year in 2017! Our goal is to make each Serve Day more memorable and productive than the last. Join us this year as we will have more volunteers, more Trash Trucks and hopefully more community outreach.
WHAT IS IT: A day where we as a church go out into the neighborhood and help those who may need an extra hand with Trash Collecting, Recycling, or any small Yard or Clean up. We believe that Jesus is the one who cleans up our lives from the mess we cause and therefore we want to show that example to the people around us.
WHEN IS IT: Saturday April 1st.
We will begin gathering at 9 AM to break into groups get supplies ready and start going out in teams to the neighborhood.
WHERE IS IT: Bryte Church – 1000 Sacramento Ave West Sacramento, CA 95605
We will meet at the Parking Lot
WHO CAN COME: EVERYONE and ANYONE! We want to make this a community event, and we believe that our community is like a family. Let’s make the Bryte and Broderick area a better place and help each other clean it up. Bring your family, friends and anyone to join us.
Safety First! We will have group leaders and driver personnel watching over the teams and help when needed. Dress in your most comfortable, dirty work clothes you got, things may get intense! We will provide safety and protective gear for projects that require such. Don’t forget to wear comfortable shoes and let’s all have a Safe Serve Day!
We as a Church are planning to be more missional and focus on the idea of “serve and not be served”. We’re not only helping these people by bringing Christ to them, but we are helping by taking some trash out.
Water and light snacks will be available for breaks. After some time of hard work we will provide all our volunteers with lunch.
